What is the difference between the 4-piece and 6-piece set?
What is the difference between the 4-piece and 6-piece set?
The 4-piece set is suitable for outboard motors . These motors do not require temperature or oil pressure sensors and often run at up to 7000 RPM - that is why the tachometer is designed for this.
The 6-piece set is intended for inboard engines , which generally have a lower maximum speed ( up to 6000 RPM ) and do require oil pressure and coolant temperature measurements. These extra meters are therefore only included in this set.
In short:
4-piece = for outboard motor (RPM up to 7000)
6-piece = for inboard engine (RPM up to 6000) and with temperature & oil pressure
