More information about stainless steel bimini tops

What material is the frame made of?

The frame is made of 316 stainless steel quality with a tube thickness of 25 mm, except for the Basic line, which uses 22 mm. The connectors and deck supports are also made of stainless steel 316.

Do I get a warranty on the canvas?

We proudly offer a 5-year warranty against discoloration of the fabric. This guarantee not only underlines our confidence in the high quality of the material used, but also our commitment to sustainability and customer satisfaction. In the unlikely event that discoloration occurs within this period, we are ready to solve the problem quickly and efficiently, so that you can continue to enjoy the unaffected aesthetics of your bimini top.

Is stainless steel always the right choice for my boat?

Besides the fact that stainless steel is solid, durable and strong, it also has the property that the bimini top is much heavier than aluminum . For some light boats this may be on the heavy side. If you often only unfold the bimini top, you should keep in mind that a stainless steel version is heavier than aluminum. Take this information into account when making your choice. If you have any questions or advice, please contact us, we will be happy to help you

Is it true that the Sunmaster bimini top is narrower?

It is true that the stainless steel tops are somewhat narrower than the factory indicates. We know from experience that you should take into account the fact that the tops are approximately 10 cm narrower. So, if you measured a width on your boat of 193 cm, then the 185-198 cm will be too narrow. We recommend ordering the 200-213 cm.

What height do I need?

You determine the height of a bimini top by calculating the cockpit depth and adding the height of the bimini top.
Please note that the specified height of the bimini top refers to the front; in the middle the bimini top becomes 18 cm higher. Are you in doubt? Please feel free to contact us.

Can I adjust the height of the bimini top?

The bimini top can be shortened by up to 10 cm by sawing off a piece of the headrest. The rest then remains intact.
