The environmentally friendly electronic level switch is the latest innovation, because it works with an electronic sensor, instead of air pressure or moving parts. It is designed to detect the water level with great precision and accuracy, giving you the best possible result. One of the main advantages of the EELS is that it is environmentally friendly. Nuova Rade designed this switch so that it only works when it detects water. If there are amounts of hydrocarbons, such as oil, it turns off the bilge pump, preventing contamination. Mounted vertically on the hull, the EELS is connected in-line to bilge pump(s) of even higher potency. The compact design also offers much greater freedom of movement. On the other hand, the minimal space it takes up on inboard ships leaves more cargo space and the hatch space intact. Other notable features include insulated electrical contacts, durable nylon and ABS plastic housing, 100% impermeable to water.

Technical properties:

The electronic level switch can be used with any bilge pump up to 20A. The electronic level switch has the following electrical characteristics:



Connect a switch for activating the automatic operation of the bilge pump in-line to the positive terminal of the battery. You will also need to connect an in-line fuse depending on the amperage of the bilge pump and up to 20A max (see manufacturer's instructions). The electronic level switch wires connected to the battery terminals are RED (+) and BLACK (-). The other pair of wires, BLACK (-) and BLUE (+), connect to the negative and positive terminals of the bilge pump respectively.

Black – Red: connection to the battery
Black – Blue: connection to the bilge pump
