How do I determine the correct control cable length?


Replacement of an existing control cable:


If possible, look for a part number stamped into the plastic sheathing of the existing cable.
Once you have removed the old cable from the boat, you can measure the cable length as follows:
Measure the length of the plastic cable sheath and add 46 cm to this measurement, round this measurement to the next foot size (30.05 cm)
You need an extra 15cm for tilt tube mounting
For Bun and Spiegel mounting you need 15 cm less
You round to the nearest whole foot.
NB: Any height differences must be included in the calculation.
